Located in the picturesque township of Strathalbyn in the Adelaide Hills, and situated on the Historic High Street, lies a charming little tea room called The Pastel Teacup. Dedicated to all things tea and all things pretty, The Pastel Teacup is a family owned business focused on providing a memorable experience with our one-of-a-kind High Tea service and unique range of giftware.
We invite you to enjoy a perfectly brewed cup of tea and freshly made treats in a relaxing atmosphere which we hope will leave a lasting impression.

The Pastel Teacup has been a dream in the making since I was a small child. Some of my fondest memories are of spending time with my Grandmother enjoying a fresh brewed pot of tea and a delicious home made treat. It has been my dream to create a unique venue where new memories can be made with a perfectly brewed pot of tea, and fresh made cakes and cookies.
High Tea is not the only service The Pastel Teacup provides. We serve all day Devonshire Tea, a range of fresh homemade cakes and cookies, and perfectly blended barista made Segafredo Zanetti coffee. A large variety of High Tea with Harriet loose leaf tea is available for purchase, fine bone china from Christina Re and Royal Albert, as well as a collection of one-of-a-kind giftware such as fairy teacups, teacup wreaths and teacup lamps. We are also proud stockists of Arthur Ave boutique children's clothing and Nana Hutchy.
Our High Tea's are served in 2 sessions per day - at 10.30am 12.30pm & 2.00pm to 4.00pm - Saturday and Sunday. As all our menu items are made fresh for each day, bookings are essential to ensure quality and taste remain at the highest standard.
Each High Tea is served with a teapot filled with your choice of tea, and a 3 tier stand consisting of fresh made sandwiches, scones, savouries and sweets.
The Pastel Teacup was created with a special purpose in mind. Suicide prevention is a cause that is very close to my heart, and is something that I have always intended to support personally. We are working closely with the Strathalbyn Suicide Prevention Network to support our local community who have been impacted. With every individual High Tea purchased, $1.00 will be placed into our separate fund raising account. We will then use this money to host a High Tea for individuals and families struggling with suicide or mental health issues. These High Tea's will be provided free of charge for those attending, and will be hosted every 3 - 5 months. It is our hope that these High Tea's will create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere where people can have the opportunity to talk openly and create new relationships, and not be concerned by an extra financial burden.
